I had a few years of working in India but then took 6 years off to take care of my family when moving to Australia which caused a big employment gap in my profile. Due to the long break, I could only get casual work with a low and unstable salary. I was stuck in this temporary position for about 6 months. But deep down inside, I believe that I deserve so much more. And I was right!

I joined Thea’s coaching program and followed the application strategies in Ace A Job to update my application (including resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile). It was a dramatic transformation! In my original resume, I didn’t have any achievements and that is how a resume is written in my home country. I think that’s also the reason why I couldn’t land interviews.

Results

How I got the job was unbelievable. I didn’t apply for the job. But as I got a strong application and an impressive LinkedIn profile, the HR manager found me on LinkedIn. I reckon my LinkedIn profile was highly searchable and so impressive that she found me and invited me to 4 interviews. I passed all 4 interviews and got the offer immediately. Everything happened within only 10 days. I also got a 20% higher salary than my expectation.

I can now live a better life, take care of my family while growing my career at the same time! This is incredibly amazing!
